DeLuna Fest on pace to sell out...

PENSACOLA, Florida -- With six weeks before the opening of DeLuna Fest 2012, organizers caution that waiting until the last minute to buy tickets might not be a good idea.

"We're trending toward a sellout," DeLuna Fest managing partner Scott Mitchell said.

Mitchell said that tickets had been sold in all 50 states and in 14 countries for the Sept. 21-23 music festival.

He also said that the festival would be a sellout at around 35,000 people, even though the site at Pensacola Beach could hold 50,000 or more.

"Our goal is to create a great experience for 35,000 instead of trying to cram in 50,000," Mitchell said. "We're thinking long-term. There are no fast bucks in the festival business."
